One key to being a good and positive human being is to be apt at giving. To give freely is one of the primary ideas that sustains humanity. When no highly obstructive governments existed the societies of this world shared with one another, for the purpose of life, love, and unity. They worked collectively to benefit the village, they worked to sustain life for all those that they called their own. They shared and gave the fruits of their efforts to those who where in need, to benefit all, freely. As we have progressed forward through the centuries the fundamental idea of giving is often lost inside the context of giving to get, instead of giving without clause. I work for more in my life so that I may be able to give some of that to others, to share with my friends, my family, and my God. In doing this I am built up not by getting something physical in return but by knowing that by giving more to others than for myself I can be humbled. One who is humbled is exalted in many ways, mostly in being truly happy. When you can give something to someone and see them smile outside and in it is an amazing feeling of greatness, the ultimate reward. It can be a thing that can cure the pain and anguish that life can put in front of us. In a time when many have needs beyond our understanding we should strive to learn that making a personal sacrifice for someone in need, or someone we love, is a much greater opportunity to be good and positive than buying something we like for ourselves. Imagine being the person who works an entire lifetime. Who lives near poverty not because they are poor, but because they wished to share more with others than to serve their own self interests of personal gain. This person is a genuine article of " Good and Positive ".

A Horrible Fuss

Give up your muffin to buy someone a rose,

So your heart will be lifted up instead of your nose.

Give up your spare change for someone in need,

So your fellow man will not think you are all about greed.

Silently send a gift to your mate,

Tell them months later and you'll make them feel great!

It's easy to live in this world if only for us,

But doing this makes things such a horrible fuss.
